Meet Mrs. Carney, the librarian
My name is Mrs. Carney, and I’m the librarian at Lied Middle School. This is my fourth year here at Lied, and I love being a gator! I’ve been a librarian at both the middle school and elementary levels. Before I became a librarian, I taught kindergarten and first grade at a number of schools in Clark County.
I love, love, love to read! Books, magazines, billboards, cereal boxes; I’ll read anything! My favorite novel are contemporary realistic fiction, but I also adore a good piece of historical fiction. At this moment, my favorite adult author is Jodi Picoult, and my favorite young adult author is Laurie Halse Anderson. Ask me tomorrow, though, and I’ll probably be onto something new. Right now the book sitting on my table at home is called The Weight of Silence. I’m hoping to tackle President Obama’s The Audacity of Hope next. Wish me luck!
