Just in time for the holidays – a shipment of brand new books was delivered to the library yesterday! It’s a mix of some just-released titles, as well as replacements for books we have lost. We got new copies of two of my all-time favorite novels, Killing Mr. Griffin and A Wrinkle in Time. We also received a lot of new nonfiction titles, as well. Are you interested in the history of the hip-hop culture, or how disgusting germs live in our bodies everyday? That’s just a sample of the subject matter of some of our new titles. Stop by the library soon and check out these new books! Happy Holiday Reading!
All seventh grade students are working on a biography project for their reading class. One of the requirements is to cite your sources using standard bibliographic form. Ugh! Here’s the link to Citation Machine to help you complete this task. Good luck~
Lied’s Fall Book Fair has come to a close and it was quite a success! What was the best-selling book last week? Of course, the newest in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney!
Great news for all you 39 Clues fans! The library just received a brand new set of the first ten books. It’s a really fun series, and an easy read. If you haven’t heard of 39 Clues, stop by the library and check it out!
Lied’s Fall Book Fair will be held in the library during the week of November 15 – 19. The selection should be terrific. Mark those calendars now!
It’s a brand new school year here at Lied, and we’re off to a fresh start with the library’s blog! All of the old posts are gone; it’s a time for new beginnings! Any suggestions? I’d love to hear form you!
